Our church exists to passionately love and glorify God by fulfilling His great commission and bring magnificent blessings of Jesus to the Indian community in the great Austin and beyond, fostering exceptional spiritual growth, and nurturing families with love and fellowship, all while magnifying Christ as the center of our lives and ministry.
Our core beliefs are what bind us together as we do this. Please select one of the categories below to learn more about our beliefs and how they impact our lives and influence our community
We believe that all Scripture is divinely inspired i.e. God-breathed, that the Holy Spirit supernaturally supervised the authors to write exactly what God intended in the original manuscripts. These writings are without error in all they teach, including matters of creation, history, and prophecy. Despite the diversity of human authorship, the Scriptures maintain divine authority and sufficiency, revealing all that humanity needs to know about God and His plan for salvation through Jesus Christ. We affirm that God has preserved and protected the 66 books of the Bible, comprising the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. The Bible is not merely a collection of writings that contain the Word of God, but is, in its entirety, the Word of God, making it the ultimate and infallible authority for all belief and practice. We trust the Bible completely, as its inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility extend fully and equally to every part—historical, poetic, doctrinal, and prophetic (2 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 1:1; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; John 17:17; Matt. 5:18-19; Deut. 18:15-18; 2 Pet. 1:3-4; John 1:18; Luke 24:25-27).
We believe there is one true God who eternally exists in three distinct persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is distinct in function or role but shares the same divine nature, being coequal in deity and equally worthy of worship and service. We believe these members of the Trinity are coequal in essence, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections, but are distinct in subsistence, executing different but harmonious functions. We believe in the one and only true God and there is no other God beside Him. We believe the Bible reveals Him to be incomprehensible, transcendent, self-existent, self-sufficient, free, simple, perfect, immutable, infinite, eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, Holy, just, good, faithful, gracious, merciful and loving. This is only a representative list of His eternal and unchanging attributes. (Deut. 6:4; Gal. 3:20; Ps. 90:2; 2 Cor. 13:14; Phil. 1:2; John 1:1; Titus 2:13; Acts 5:3-4; Gen. 10:24; Hos. 1:7; Isa. 59:20; 48:16; 59:21; Matt. 28:18-19; Matt. 3:16-17; John 10:30; 2 Cor. 13:14; Rev. 1:4-5; Exod. 20:2–3;Exodus 34:6;Isa. 46:9; 1Cor. 8:4-6; John 17:3;Isa 6:3; Hab 1:13; Rev 4:8,Ps. 119:68; 25:8; Mark 10:18).
We believe in one God the Father, who is the uncaused cause from whom all things came, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. He is the divine source of all, sovereign ruler, Lord chief justice, compassionate reconciler and the one to whom all things return. He is the divine source or the fountainhead of all existence and is the Originator of everything. He has life in himself and gives life to all else through the Son and the Spirit. (Jn 6:27; Eph 1:3; Eph 1:17; Eph. 4:6; Jas 1:17; Rev 1:8; Ge. 1:1; Acts 17:24-29; 1 Tim 6:15-16; 2 Peter 3:10-12;2 Cor. 5:18-19; Col 1:19-20; John 3:16; 1 Cor 15:24-28)
We believe in one God Jesus Christ, the Son who is eternally begotten of the Father not created but. He is before all things and by Him all things were created. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and miraculously born to Mary when she was a virgin. He humbled himself and became fully human in the incarnation with the fullness of deity living in His body. The Son, being in nature God, took on the nature of man, identifying himself with humanity yet without sin though he experienced every temptation. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He is the same essence as the father, the exact representation of His being. He is one person with two distinct natures and these two natures are without confusion or change, without division or separation. Fully conscious of his divine sonship, He performed literal miracles. He had the foreknowledge of his expiatory death and offered himself willingly to be crucified by sinful men and died a substitutionary death on the cross paying a ransom for all, thus making a provision for the redemption of humanity from sin to those who believe in Jesus Christ. After being buried, He rose again on the third day according to the scriptures, appeared to many and ascended to heaven. He will physically return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead and reign eternally. (Deut. 6:4; John 3:16; Matt. 28:19; John 1:14; Col. 1:16; Matt.1:18; Phil. 2:7; Col. 2:9; Heb. 13:8; Heb. 1:3; John 1:1; John 1:14; Isaiah 53:5; Mark 10:45;1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 1:9; Rev. 22:12)
We believe in one God the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He shares the divine titles, attributes, the same nature and essence as the Father and the Son and his person is evidenced by his intelligence, manifestation of emotions and demonstration of his personal will. He inspired the very words of the scripture written by human authors. He testifies about the son and convicts the world regarding sin, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, seals, anoints, baptizes, fills, and sanctifies a believer. (John 15:26; 16:7-8; Titus 3:5; Rom 8:9; John 14:16-20; EPhe. 2:19-22; 2 Cor 1:22; Eph 4:30;1 John 2:20,27;1 Cor 12:13; John 7:37-39, Acts 11:17; Rom 5:5; 8:9, 11; 1 Cor 2:12; 6:19-20; 12:13; 2 Cor 5:5; Gal 3:2; 4:6; 1 John 3:24; 4:13; Eph 4:30; 1 Thess. 5:19; Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10)
We believe that God, according to His sovereign will and for His own glory, created the heavens and the earth without the use of pre-existent material. We also believe that all living things came into being by the creative act of God and not by a random process. Creation has an existence distinct from Him and yet is always dependent on Him (Gen. 2:4, Prov. 16:4, Acts 17:24, Col. 1:16-17).
We believe that humanity, both male and female, was created in the image and likeness of God. Having been made in God’s image, each human life, from conception to natural death, is precious to God. Each human is deserving of equal dignity, value, and worth. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God fully and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. This command has no qualification and extends to each person regardless of their culture, ethnicity, or socio-economic status (Gen. 1:26-27, Deut. 10:17-19, Psalm 139:13-16, Luke 10:25-37, Acts 17:26, Gal. 3:28, James 2:1-13, Rev. 5:9-10, 7:9).
We believe, though created in a state of innocence, humanity fell from its sinless state and became subject to physical and spiritual death. Sin is anything contrary to the character of God. Every person is alienated from God because of their depraved nature and personal acts of sin. Therefore, everyone is separated from God and completely incapable of meriting salvation and avoiding the judgment of God. Our sinful nature is never eradicated, even for those who have trusted in Christ alone for salvation. It remains until the end of life on earth. However, we believe God has made provision for forgiveness of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ and victory over sin through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Rom. 3:10, 23, 5:12, 6:23, Gal. 5:16-17, Eph. 4:18, 1 John 1:8-10).
We believe that salvation from the penalty and power of sin is available through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This salvation was made possible through the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross. It is through this act that He became sin for us and died in our place. There is nothing a person can do to earn this salvation (including good works, moral achievement or religious status). The one and only condition for salvation is personal faith in Jesus Christ as one’s own substitute for sin and savior from sin. At the time of salvation, a person is spiritually regenerated, sins are forgiven, God’s righteousness is imputed, and he/she is declared righteous in the sight of God. This salvation is complete and a present possession of all believers which remains his/hers forever. All who have trusted Christ as Savior are kept secure and will never lose their salvation (1 Pet. 1:18-19, 2 Cor. 5:21, 1 Pet. 2:24, Eph 2:8-9, Tit. 3:5, Eph. 4:32, Rom. 5:1, Rom. 8:38-39).
A justified believer obtains a holy standing before God through the finished work of Christ but retains their sin nature. Sanctification is a progressive experience in which each believer must seek greater Christlikeness by choosing to abide in Christ, choosing to put to death the deeds of sin and present himself to God in submission to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. Christians will not be entirely free from sin in this life until glorification when the sin nature is completely removed. (Col. 3:1; Rom. 8:12-13; John 15:4-6; Rom. 6; Gal. 5:16, 22-23; Eph. 5:27; 1 John 3:2).
We believe that the Church is a unique organism composed of people from every tribe, language, people, and nation who have placed their faith in Christ alone as Savior. The Church began on the day of Pentecost and will continue its distinct purpose until Christ’s return. We believe that the Church exists in both a universal aspect, as the Body of Christ, and in a local assembly of believers in Jesus Christ. The local church has the twofold purpose of the edification of believers and the evangelization of the unsaved. We practice water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, which we believe to be a memorial of Christ’s death. Both are open to all believers. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:1-4, 1 Cor. 11:23-28, 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 4:7, Col. 4:16, 1 Thess. 4:13-17, Heb. 13:17, Rev. 5:9-10, 7:9).
Marriage is a picture of Christ’s relationship with His Bride – the Church. It is defined from the beginning of Scripture as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. God designed sexual intimacy for a marriage relationship and does not endorse or condone it in any other context (1 Thess 4:3-5, Eph 5:22-23, Gen 2:24, Matt 19:4-5).
We believe Lucifer was one of the highest rankings of all the angelic beings, but he sinned through pride and rebelled against God, thereby becoming Satan (or the adversary). We believe that Satan’s declared purpose is to oppose the plan of God and to promote his own evil designs by deceiving and attacking humanity. In carrying out his work, Satan is aided by other fallen angels known as demons or evil spirits. We believe these demons can influence and tempt people, exerting a greater degree over unbelievers. (Matt 4:24, Isa. 14:12-20, 2 Cor 4:4, Rev 20:3, Acts 5:3, Eph. 6:11-12)
We believe that God accomplishes His purposes in the world through and for humanity under varying dispensations or administrations. These administrations are sometimes referred to as the age of the Mosaic Law (former times); the Age of Grace (the present time); and the future millennial kingdom (the time to come). We believe that these dispensations span the entirety of human history but that dispensations are not different ways of salvation. Rather, they are ways of life which test the obedience of man to God’s revealed will during a particular time. We believe that it is necessary to observe the dispensational distinction in order to properly understand the teaching of the Scriptures (1 Cor. 10:32, Eph. 1:10, 3:2, Gal. 4:2, Luke 12:42, Heb. 12:22-23).
We believe that the next major event in God’s prophetic calendar is the Rapture of the Church. The Rapture will occur when living and dead believers are caught up to meet the Lord and receive rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Following the Rapture, a seven-year period of Tribulation (or distress) will commence upon the earth at which time God’s wrath will be poured out on mankind. God’s millennial kingdom will be ushered in by Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth in power and glory to rule sovereignly over the world for a thousand years. The unsaved dead of all ages will be raised after the millennium to face the final judgment also known as the Great White Throne Judgment. Those who have not trusted in Jesus alone for their salvation will be cast into the lake of fire where there will be eternal and conscious punishment. We believe that the redeemed of all ages will exist in an eternal state of joy and bliss in the new heavens and new earth where they will worship and serve God forever (John 14:3, Heb. 10:37, 2 Cor. 5:10, Matt. 24:21-31, Rev. 20-22).
