Good Friday
April 3 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Good Friday is one of the most solemn days in the Christian faith, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. In 2025, it falls on April 18. It is a day of deep reflection, mourning, and gratitude for Jesus’ sacrifice for the salvation of humanity.
The Significance of Good Friday
- It marks the day Jesus was arrested, tried, beaten, and crucified at Golgotha (Calvary).
- His death fulfilled the prophecy of the suffering servant in Isaiah 53, bearing the sins of the world.
- Jesus’ last words on the cross include:
“It is finished!” (John 19:30), signifying the completion of God’s plan for redemption. - At His death, the temple veil was torn in two (Matthew 27:51), symbolizing that we now have direct access to God through Christ.
